FAQ

Q: How would you describe your photography style?

A: Light, airy, journalistic, genuine. Our intention as photographers is to tell a story: capturing the mood and feeling of the day as it unfolds, as well as documenting moments and emotions as they come and go. For more about our background, take a peek at our about page.

Q: What are your rates? Do you have any hidden fees?

A: Our weddings packages generally range from $2,800 - $3,500. Every wedding & couple are unique, and there is no "one size fits all" for wedding photography. We are always open to discussing options & creating custom packages, and our only additional fee is payment for travel. For our complete investment packages, please get in touch with us!
*Elopements & portrait sessions vary - contact us for more information.

Q: What does shooting "hybrid" mean?
A: Hybrid means that we shoot in film & digital formats. The color & light captured on an analogue, or film, image are what we have found to be the richest reproduction of life. We are drawn to the nostalgic feeling that only film seems to be able to document. Of course, there are moments where digital imaging is necessary & helpful (i.e. low light), and that is why we shoot both; the hybrid shooting process allows for each to fill in the gaps.

Q: Do you use backups?

A: Always. We carry at least three camera bodies and four to five lenses with us for weddings. The images are immediately backed up to two separate locations after your wedding/session for up to one calendar year.

Q: Do you edit all the photos you deliver?

A: Absolutely. We devote hours of our time to editing & retouching your images because we fully believe that individual images should be able to stand alone as a work of art, as well as contribute to the story we are telling about your day. This process is a fundamental part of what we do; we do not deliver RAW or unedited images.

Q: Where are you based? Do you travel?

A: We live just outside of Seattle, Washington and we absolutely love to travel. Out of state weddings make us do a happy dance! Be sure to check our travel schedule here, and if we are in the same place at the same time, there is no travel fee.

Q: Do you have a second shooter included in your wedding packages?

A: Yep! Conor and I shoot together as a team; he is my go-to second shooter. In the event that Conor is unavailable, I will hire someone fit to replace him for the wedding.

Q: What should I wear to my session?

A: It depends on the type of session, and of course your personal taste, but the most important thing to do is wear something that you love and feel comfortable in! Try to coordinate style & tones with each other without completely matching. Neutral colors and tones are always lovely, but don't be afraid to throw in some patterns/prints as long as they aren't too distracting.

Q: Do you charge a wedding cancellation fee? What if we change our wedding date?

A: You won't be charged a cancellation fee if something happens. However, the retainer is non-refundable once it is paid.
If you need to change your date, we would be more than happy to switch it for you if the new date is open on our calendar. If we are already booked for that day, we'll put together a list of photographers in the area for you to find a good match.

Q: How will we receive our photos?

A: All of your high resolution digital images will be delivered through an online client gallery, which you will be able to share and download! If you have also ordered other products like prints, albums, or flash drives, you can expect them to arrive at your door within 1-2 weeks after the online gallery is posted.

Q: Can we meet you before the wedding?

A: Definitely! It's always a good idea for us to get to know each other before the wedding and have some time to ask the questions and for us to get a feel for what you are looking for. It can be in person at your favorite coffee shop, or online through Skype or Facetime.

Q: We are ready to book! What's next?

A: The first step is to get in contact with us by filling out the contact form here! To reserve your date, a signed contract & non-refundable retainer fee are required. We will get back to you as soon as possible and get your day booked! We look forward to hearing from you!
